Explore the randomness and hidden art of the number π (pi). A circle of 360 degrees is split into 10 different stepping directions and each digit of π defines its own step direction. Two tiny markers show where the path starts and ends. The color conveys where the walk started, walked past and ended, from yellow at the start running through pinks, reds, blues, purples and ending with green.
This version shows the first 10,000 digits of π. There are three other versions available showing a different number of digits, from 1,000 going all the way to 1 million digits!
Printed with archival ink on high-quality Hahnemühle Photorag fine art paper (308 gsm) by theprintspace. This paper has a nice subtle texture and an off-white paper tone.
